Summary

Role: SAP MDG Functional Consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ months
 
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation and master data governance initiative. The consultant will be responsible for designing and supporting governance processes across Material Master, Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, and Financial master data domains while ensuring seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA.
The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in SAP MDG, hands-on knowledge of Material Master and Business Partner processes, and a solid understanding of Finance and General Ledger master data structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead SAP MDG functional design and business process discussions.
  • Support governance processes for Material Master, Customer, Supplier, and Business Partner domains.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define master data standards and governance workflows.
  • Configure and support SAP MDG change request processes, validations, derivations, and approval workflows.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on BRF+, workflow, data replication, and integration requirements.
  • Support master data quality, data migration, and governance initiatives.
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA transformation and integration activities.
  • Prepare functional specifications and support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and production deployment.
  • Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure master data consistency across business processes.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of SAP experience.
  • 5+ years of SAP MDG Functional experience.
  • Strong experience with SAP MDG Material Master.
  • Hands-on experience with Business Partner governance.
  • Experience supporting Customer and Supplier master data processes.
  • Good understanding of General Ledger and Finance master data.
  • Experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data lifecycle management.
  • Experience gathering requirements and leading workshops with business stakeholders.
