Position OverviewApex Systems is seeking a
Senior Software Engineer to support a Fortune 50 client in Orlando, FL. This role focuses on designing and developing highly engaging, user-centric web applications that empower strategic internal decision-makers. The ideal candidate brings deep front-end expertise, strong collaboration skills, and a passion for building intuitive, data-driven experiences.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative web applications tailored for internal business stakeholders.
- Champion modern front-end technologies-primarily React-to create scalable, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to transform business requirements into intuitive user experiences, workflows, wireframes, and mockups.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to translate complex data and model outputs into clear, actionable visualizations.
- Mentor engineering team members in front-end architecture, coding standards, and UI/UX best practices.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure secure, high-performance, and reliable deployment of front-end solutions.
- Promote and implement best practices across accessibility, performance optimization, maintainability, and code quality.
Required Qualifications- Proven experience designing and building full-stack web platforms, with a strong emphasis on front-end architecture and user experience.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and large datasets.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience partnering across design, product, and backend engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
Preferred Qualifications - How to Stand Out- Advanced expertise in React, UI/UX design, data visualization, and front-end optimization strategies.
- Experience building reusable, performance-focused front-end components or internal libraries.
- Hands-on experience implementing UI/UX designs in Figma, including creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, and supporting documentation.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools and GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience with Python, Django, or similar back-end frameworks.
- Background in building data-driven applications utilizing databases such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and SQL.
- Demonstrated leadership in front-end architecture, tool evaluation, and technical decision-making.
- Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
