We are seeking an experienced Business Architect to join modernization initiative focused on transforming core insurance systems for policy administration and claims processing. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in insurance operations, strong architectural skills, and a proven track record of driving business transformation in large-scale modernization projects.
Key Responsibilities
Business Architecture Development:
Define and maintain the business architecture framework aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Map current-state business processes and design future-state models for policy and claims operations.
Modernization Strategy & Roadmap:
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop modernization strategies for legacy systems.
Create transition roadmaps ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory compliance.
Requirements & Gap Analysis:
Conduct detailed analysis of existing systems and identify gaps for modernization.
Translate business needs into architectural requirements and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to ensure clarity and consensus on modernization objectives.
Governance & Standards:
Ensure adherence to industry best practices, compliance standards, and architectural principles.
Define KPIs and success metrics for modernization initiatives.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in transformation plans and propose mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
10 15 years of experience in business architecture or enterprise architecture roles.
Strong background in insurance policy administration and claims processing.
Proven experience in modernization projects (legacy to digital platforms).
Expertise in business process modeling (BPMN, UML).
Familiarity with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar).
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in insurance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor s or master s degree in business, IT, or related field.
