Location - Must be able to work from *Duluth, GA, with **3 days onsite per week
### Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced *AI Architect – Retail / GenAI* with 12+ years of overall IT experience and at least 5+ years of experience in *AI/ML architecture and enterprise AI implementations. The ideal candidate must have strong **Retail domain experience* and hands-on expertise in designing and implementing scalable *GenAI, LLM, RAG and Agentic AI solutions* for enterprise environments.
The candidate will be responsible for defining AI architecture, leading production implementations, establishing MLOps and AI governance practices, and working closely with business and executive stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions.
### Key Responsibilities
* Design and lead *enterprise AI/ML and GenAI architecture* for large-scale retail environments.
* Architect and implement production-ready solutions using *LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, NLP, Machine Learning and Deep Learning*.
* Translate business and retail use cases into scalable, secure and cost-effective AI solutions.
* Design AI solutions using *Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)* and *Google Vertex AI*.
* Define enterprise AI platform architecture, integration patterns and deployment strategies.
* Design and implement *RAG pipelines*, embeddings, vector search and knowledge retrieval solutions.
* Architect *Agentic AI solutions*, including AI agents, tool calling, orchestration and multi-agent workflows.
* Establish and enhance *MLOps* practices covering model development, deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
* Work with technologies such as *MLflow, Kubeflow, Databricks or equivalent platforms*.
* Design and integrate *vector databases* such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB or equivalent.
* Collaborate with data engineering teams using *Python, SQL, Spark and modern data engineering technologies*.
* Define AI governance, responsible AI, model security, privacy and compliance frameworks.
* Implement *model monitoring, observability, evaluation and performance optimization*.
* Lead architecture reviews, technical design discussions and enterprise solution decisions.
* Work closely with senior business leaders, architects and executive stakeholders.
* Mentor AI/ML engineering teams and establish architecture and development best practices.
### Required Skills & Experience
* *12+ years of overall IT experience*.
* *5+ years of AI/ML Architecture experience*.
* *Strong Retail domain experience – Mandatory*.
* Proven experience delivering *enterprise AI/GenAI solutions into production*.
* Strong knowledge of:
* LLMs
* Generative AI
* RAG
* Agentic AI
* NLP
* Machine Learning
* Deep Learning
* Strong programming experience with *Python*.
* Strong *SQL* and data engineering knowledge.
* Experience with *Apache Spark* and modern data engineering platforms.
* Strong hands-on experience with *Google Cloud Platform and Google Vertex AI*.
* Experience designing enterprise AI platforms and scalable AI architectures.
* Strong knowledge of *MLOps*, including MLflow, Kubeflow, Databricks or equivalent.
* Experience with *vector databases*, including Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB or equivalent.
* Understanding of AI governance, responsible AI, security, privacy and model monitoring.
* Strong architecture leadership and *executive stakeholder management* skills.
### Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
* Experience with major LLM platforms such as *Gemini, OpenAI, Claude or equivalent*.
* Experience with AI agent frameworks and orchestration technologies.
* Experience implementing enterprise RAG and knowledge-management solutions.
* Retail experience across areas such as *e-commerce, merchandising, supply chain, inventory, customer analytics, personalization or retail operations*.
* Experience with cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
* Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes and containerized AI workloads.
* Experience establishing enterprise *AI Centers of Excellence / AI governance frameworks*.
* Strong communication, presentation and technical leadership skills.
