SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Database Specialist to join our team supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract. The Senior Cloud Database Specialist will be responsible for designing and managing FEMA's data infrastructure, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis to support the agency's mission.

This opportunity is contingent upon award.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Infrastructure Design: Lead the development of robust database designs to facilitate efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Database Management: Ensure compatibility and interoperability among various data sources and systems used across FEMA.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to shape FEMA's data architecture and support the agency's mission.
  • Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration of data across different platforms and systems.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of data services.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and nine (9) years or more of experience. A Master's degree is preferred with seven (7) or more years of experience.
  • Certifications: Must possess the following certifications:
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect Certification
    • OCI Implementation Specialist Certification
  • Relevant Experience: Extensive experience in designing and managing cloud-based databases and data infrastructure.
  • Clearance: Must obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting work under this contract.

Skills:
  • Database Architecture: Strong expertise in database design, management, and optimization.
  • Cloud Technologies: In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and other cloud technologies.
  • Data Integration: Proven experience ensuring compatibility and interoperability among various data sources and systems.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
