Northern Trust Company seeks a Sr. Lead, SW Eng to design major systems and subsystems utilizing available technology, tools, and designs. Conduct feasibility studies and define system requirements for complex data processing projects. Prepare project phase reports, including requirements, feasibility, definition, and design. Write complex queries, reviewing and validating requirements. Provide support to production streams and provide expert knowledge on all workflow designs for supported applications. Troubleshoot technical production issues and apply code fix. Work with business partners to analyze and resolve queries and ensure compliance to all controlled processes.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 5 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 5 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation, employer will accept 7 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience with system development lifecycle, performing unit testing, systems analysis, and application program development; 5 years of experience with project feasibility, requirements definition, and project leadership; 5 years of experience preparing design documents for new requirements with solution and system enhancements; 5 years of experience translating business requirements into technical specifications; 5 years of experience with integrated vending systems, performing code reviews, and testing vended and custom-developed applications; and 5 years of experience with Cobol, DB2 Database, IBM Datastage, SQL, UNIX Shell scripting, and XML. Part time telecommuting may be permitted.

Salary Range:
$153,317.00 - $169,200.00

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
