Role: OCP Engineer with FIX Experience

Role Summary
Seeking a 6+ years experienced OCP Engineer with strong FIX Protocol and SWIFT messaging expertise to design, implement, configure, and maintain containerized platform ecosystems in Jersey City, NJ. The candidate will drive Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) strategy for QuickFIX in cloud environments, manage cluster capacity, automate host provisioning, and handle L2/L3 engineering support. Additional responsibilities include managing FIX engines (Appia, QuickFIX, TradeScope) and SWIFT Alliance products on Linux, developing Bash/Perl automation scripts, and participating in weekend implementations and Disaster Recovery (DR) rotations.
Key Responsibilities
* OpenShift & Container Ecosystem: Drive implementation and cluster capacity management for Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and Kubernetes platforms hosting QuickFIX/FIX protocol engines.
* FIX & SWIFT Platform Engineering: Install, configure, patch, and support FIX engines (Appia, QuickFIX, TradeScope) and SWIFT Alliance Access on Linux environments.
* Automation & CI/CD Pipelines: Automate cluster provisioning, manage Docker builds/registries, and maintain administrative utilities using Shell (Bash) and Perl scripting.
* Production Support & DR Operations: Deliver L2/L3 production troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and participate in weekend implementation/disaster recovery rotations.
* Documentation & System Observability: Analyze system performance and capacity metrics, author system playbooks, and maintain detailed infrastructure architecture diagrams.
Required Skills
* Container Platforms: 5+ Years Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), 6+ Years Kubernetes, Docker (Dockerfile, Images, Volumes, Registries)
* Messaging Protocols & Tools: FIX Protocol (QuickFIX, Appia, TradeScope), SWIFT Alliance Access, FIX Order Flow
* Operating Systems & Scripting: Linux System Administration, Networking, Shell Scripting (Bash, Perl)
* DevOps & Infrastructure: CI/CD Integration, Cluster Capacity Management, Host Automation, Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing
* Support & Operations: L2/L3 Advanced Production Support, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), System Performance Monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
* Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
* Financial services / Capital Markets messaging infrastructure experience.
