Summary
Lead Integrations Engineer
We are looking for a Lead Integrations Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own enterprise data integrations and migrations from start to finish for the world's top chemical companies. This is a post-sales role that combines data engineering and solutions engineering. You'll take a signed SOW, do the final scoping, and deliver it. We want an engineer with strong ETL and data pipeline skills who has worked directly with customers and is comfortable owning a project from scoping to go-live, rather than waiting for tickets.
What will you be doing?
- Own integration projects from start to finish (typically around 6 months, and we're working to shorten that). You'll build connectors that sync key customer data into Albert, such as SAP raw-material lot numbers, so chemists know what materials they have and where they are.
- Work with customer IT teams to get systems talking to each other (for example, IP listing), and with subject matter experts to define data mapping and transformation. You'll guide customers on best practices.
- Build customer-specific connectors on standardized integration harness, using strong ETL and pipeline practices. We're moving toward Databricks.
- Scope work carefully and use AI coding agents and teammates for the bulk of the build. You need enough engineering judgment to review and question their output.
- Act as the technical point of contact for customers: roughly weekly syncs when a project kicks off, more often near launch, async updates in between, and customer visits about once a quarter. An engagement manager supports the relationship.
Requirements
<>Required Skills:- 5 - 15 years of experience as a software engineer, integrations engineer, data engineer, solutions engineer who owned/scoped data or integration projects end- to- end (vs answering tickets)
- Customer- facing experience leading technical projects end to end involving APIs, data synchronization, or system orchestration (scoping through go- live)
- Experience at a startup or in the chemical, materials, or life sciences industries (Citrine, Uncountable, Dow, 3M)
- Hands- on experience with ETL and data pipelines
- Expertise in Python or Node. js, RESTful and event- driven architectures, and AWS
- Based in the United States, working East Coast hours
- Willingness to travel for customer visits (approximately once per quarter)
- Databricks experience or certification
