General Technician - Plumbing

Job Description

TheGeneral Maintenance Technicianis responsible for performing a wide range offacility maintenance and repair taskswithin a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role includes a strong focus onplumbing systems, along with general building maintenance support to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

This position works aprimary shift of 7:00 AM ? 3:30 PMand requireson-call availability after hours and weekends for emergency support.

Job Responsibilities

• Performgeneral building maintenance, including plumbing, minor electrical, HVAC support, and repairs.
• Inspect facilities regularly and completepreventative maintenance tasksto ensure equipment and systems remain in safe working condition.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems, includingfixing leaks, replacing pipes, clearing drains, and maintaining fixtures.
• Completedaily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklistsand work orders.
• Troubleshoot and respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner to minimize operational disruptions.
• Report major repair needs and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain astrong customer service focus, supporting internal teams and responding to facility needs.
• Follow allsafety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work throughwork order/CMMS systems.
• Payrate: $20 - $21.53 Per Hour

Qualifications

• 1?4 years of experiencein general maintenance withhands-on plumbing experience.
• Working knowledge ofplumbing systems, building maintenance, and basic mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance and repairs independently.
• Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience withwork order systems or CMMSis a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade training preferred.
