Job Summary:\\n
\\n
The Echo Technologist is responsible for performing a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing in the echocardiography laboratory. This role oversees technical procedures, patient care, and laboratory workflows while assisting physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic examinations.
\\n
The Echo Technologist provides compassionate, patient-centered care and works collaboratively with the cardiovascular services team to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic studies.

\\n
Key Responsibilities:\\n
\\n - Perform routine and complex echocardiographic imaging procedures according to departmental guidelines.
\\n - Perform various types of echocardiography studies, including: \\n
\\n - Routine echocardiograms
\\n - Exercise stress echocardiograms
\\n - Dobutamine stress echocardiograms
\\n - Pediatric echocardiograms
\\n - Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
\\n
\\n - Evaluate imaging quality by reviewing patient positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
\\n - Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
\\n - Accurately and completely document studies and procedures.
\\n - Administer contrast when needed and when not contraindicated.
\\n - Document completed studies and charges in Epic.
\\n - Enter preliminary study information into the Xcelera system for physician interpretation.
\\n - Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations with other team members.
\\n - Crosstrain in other areas of Cardiovascular Services as required.
\\n - Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining high-quality diagnostic studies.
\\n - Collaborate effectively with physicians, sonographers, and other healthcare professionals.
\\n - Continuously advance knowledge and technical skills in all aspects of echocardiography.
\\n - Participate in constructive learning and teaching opportunities.
\\n - Maintain a team-oriented approach and support quality patient care within the community.

Required Qualifications:\\n
\\n - Associate's Degree in Sonography or related sonography program.
\\n - BLS certification (AHA).
\\n - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
\\n - Knowledge and ability to perform routine and advanced echocardiographic procedures.
\\n - Strong attention to detail and commitment to imaging quality.
\\n - Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
\\n - Ability to provide compassionate and patient-focused care.
\\n - English proficiency - speak, read, and write.
\\n
