Data Engineer

Our client, an established, data-driven technology company in Quebec, is hiring a permanent, full-time Data Engineer. You'll work in Python, SQL, and the cloud, with a strong focus on machine learning infrastructure. The role is hybrid.

This is a chance to shape how a data team works, not just maintain what's already there. You'll partner closely with data scientists to make their data foundation faster, cleaner, and more reliable, and you'll build the data and ML infrastructure that powers analytics and machine learning across the business. The client wants an engineer who likes ownership, has opinions on tooling, and wants a voice in where the stack goes next. In return you'll get broad exposure across data engineering and ML operations, room to grow, and a team that values initiative.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field
Strong Python, including experience with common data libraries
Advanced SQL
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider
Experience with large-scale data processing tools
Working knowledge of MLOps practices
Git and standard agile tooling

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience deploying ML models to production
Experience with data quality and testing frameworks
Experience evaluating and introducing new tools
