Most of the work will be remote, but when needed to be onsite, the work will be at various locations, but primarily in Dallas, TX and Hartford, CT. Travel expenses will be covered.
**Core Requirement:**
- Minimum **10+ years of experience** in SAP Production Planning (PP)
**Role Brief:**
As a Senior SAP PP Consultant (Contract), you will lead the technical enhancement and integration of SAP PP modules within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure optimal system functionality and strong interfaces with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). You’ll leverage advanced ABAP knowledge for development, enhancements, and issue resolution. Additionally, your collaboration with cross-functional teams will drive successful SAP implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Analyze business processes and design technical solutions within SAP PP to meet operational goals.
- Develop, customize, and optimize SAP PP modules using ABAP and associated SAP toolsets.
- Configure and manage SAP master data relevant to production and materials management.
- Integrate SAP PP systems with MES and other third-party platforms to streamline data flow.
- Troubleshoot process and system challenges, providing sustainable technical solutions.
- Document technical requirements, configuration, and support materials clearly for team handover and support.
- Liaise closely with business process owners, analysts, and project managers to translate requirements into robust SAP solutions.
**Requirements:**
- 10+ years hands-on experience with SAP PP, including master data and process configuration.
- Proven track record using **ABAP** for solution development, custom reports, and interfaces.
- Expert knowledge of MES integration projects and best practices.
- Experience with end-to-end SAP implementations or upgrades.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical and process documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- (Bonus) SAP certifications or prior work experience with leading global consulting firms or manufacturers.
