Senior QA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fort Washington, PA that is seking a Senior QA.

Responsibilities:
* Lead quality assurance efforts across web-based applications, ensuring functionality, data integrity, and overall product quality
* Apply strong critical-thinking skills to analyze requirements, identify risks, and design effective test scenarios
* Perform hands-on testing including functional, regression, and browser-based testing across supported environments
* Utilize relational database knowledge to validate data, perform basic CRUD operations, reset test cases, and investigate production issues
* Interface with application databases through the development IDE as needed
* Own the execution of unit test suites during QA regression cycles, coordinating with developers who build and maintain the tests
* Collaborate closely with developers and internal stakeholders in an Agile/Kanban environment to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
* Communicate test results, defects, and risks clearly and tactfully, including participation in demos and stakeholder discussions
* Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes while supporting rapid application development practices
* Ensure testing efforts align with team workflows in a low-stress, Agile Kanban environment

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or software testing roles
* Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex requirements and edge cases
* Solid experience working with relational databases, including basic CRUD operations for test validation and issue investigation
* Ability to query databases to reset test cases and research production issues
* Hands-on experience with web application and browser-based testing
* Familiarity with executing unit test suites during QA regression cycles, even if not responsible for building or maintaining the tests
* Comfortable working in Agile environments, with experience in Rapid Application Development (RAD) preferred
* Experience working within Agile Kanban teams (Scrum experience not required)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
