Data platforms and enterprise warehouses
Middleware, APIs, and event-driven microservices ecosystems
Define and drive core modernization strategies, including:
Legacy transformation
Modular core decomposition
API-first and microservices architectures

Emerging Technology & Blockchain (Secondary Focus)
Contribute to architectural initiatives involving digital asset integration and distributed systems, ensuring alignment with core banking architecture.
Design integration patterns between core banking platforms and emerging technologies where applicable (e.g., digital asset processing, settlement optimization).
Provide guidance on how traditional banking systems coexist with emerging platforms, ensuring operational and regulatory alignment.
Evaluate technologies in the context of business value vs. complexity, ensuring pragmatic adoption.
Architecture Governance & Leadership
Establish architectural guardrails and best practices across core banking and enterprise platforms to ensure long-term scalability, interoperability, and maintainability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across:
Payments
Lending
Liquidity and settlements
Customer onboarding and KYC
Provide thought leadership to engineering teams and stakeholders on:

Core banking evolution strategies
Modern vs. legacy architecture trade-offs
Adoption of emerging technologies in a regulated environment

Define and enforce standards for:
API design and integration
Domain-driven design and service decomposition
Security, compliance, and auditability

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in architecture roles, with strong emphasis on:
Core banking systems and enterprise architecture
Large-scale banking transformation initiatives
Deep experience with core banking platforms such as:
Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, TCS BaNCS, or equivalent

Strong understanding of:
Banking domains (deposits, lending, payments, treasury)
Payment and messaging standards (ISO 20022, SWIFT)

Proven mastery of:
Architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, layered architecture)
Cloud and modern engineering practices
Non-functional requirements (performance, resiliency, scalability, security)
Exposure to emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, distributed systems) is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience translating business strategy into technical architecture and driving cross-functional alignment.
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within financial institutions.
Demonstrated ability to mentor architects and engineers and drive architectural consistency and innovation.
