Configuration Analyst 1

Location: Elkton, Maryland (Onsite)

Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a Configuration Analyst to support the Configuration Management department. This role involves planning and coordinating the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract requirements are met. The position requires a detail-oriented individual to analyze product design changes and manage modification records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate the preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications, and schedules.
  • Review contracts to determine the documentation required for each phase of a project.
  • Analyze proposed changes to product design to determine their effect on the overall product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records for management control.
  • Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation.
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, and manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A basic understanding of ERP, PLM, and MES systems.
  • Familiarity with configuration data, such as part numbers, BOMs, and routings, and change control concepts.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation like drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise tools such as SAP, Teamcenter, or MES.
  • Exposure to configuration management or product lifecycle management in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working with bills of material (BOMs), part structures, or engineering change notices (ECNs/ECRs).
  • A basic understanding of configuration management standards and practices.
