About the RoleA leading technology infrastructure organization is seeking an entry-level
Buyer Assistant I to support its supply chain and procurement operations team. This role is perfect for someone looking to build a career in
supply chain, procurement, or operations while working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
In this position, you will be essential to the buying team, managing all tasks related to purchase order (PO) creation and ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities- Create, manage, and track purchase orders (POs)
- Support forecasting and workflow management
- Manage requests within a ticketing system
- Communicate frequently with vendors, logistics partners, and internal operations teams
- Pull data queries and work with large datasets in Excel
- Complete ad hoc reporting to support category management
- Support process improvements and team initiatives
Must-Have Skills- Experience placing purchase orders
- Experience with forecasting or workflow management
- Ticketing system proficiency
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice-to-Have Skills- Supply chain, procurement, or logistics background
- Comfortable working with Excel and general computer systems
- Experience with databases or operational data tools
- Creative problem-solving and initiative
