Job Title: QA Lead

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Day 1 Onsite)

Job Type: Contract — Long Term

Experience: 5+ years in software quality assurance

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and functional requirements to define comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and test cases
Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across banking applications
Validate banking workflows, business rules, interfaces, APIs, and data integrity across FIS-enabled applications
Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
Execute manual and automated test cases; document results and report defects in JIRA
Participate in CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives
Partner with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards
Support release validation and production issue root cause analysis

Required Skills

Proven experience in software quality assurance with strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Hands-on experience with automation tools: Karate, Cypress
Banking domain knowledge — core banking, payments, transactions, customer journeys
FIS platform testing experience
API testing experience (Postman, REST Assured)
Experience with CI/CD and Agile environments

Preferred Skills

WireMock, JMeter, Selenium, Jenkins
Experience with defect management tools (JIRA)
UI/UX and customer experience understanding
