About the Role
Our client, a leading national retailer operating one of the largest retail media networks in the United States, is seeking a contract Product Manager – Proprietary Tools. This retailer''s media division connects over 2,000 brand partners with more than 165 million omnichannel shoppers through data-driven advertising solutions spanning search, display, social, streaming, and programmatic channels.
This role sits at the intersection of product, support, and operations within the retailer''s media network division. The Product Manager will ensure internal teams and advertising clients have reliable, well-documented, and scalable product experiences by managing proprietary tools and operational workflows critical to the network''s success.
The Product Manager will oversee the day-to-day administration and optimization of the retail media network''s internal product systems while serving as a key support resource and knowledge management lead.
Responsibilities include:
- Product Systems Administration – Manage and optimize proprietary product tools, configurations, and workflows. Ensure systems are operating efficiently and aligned to business needs. Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.
- P2 (High) & P3 (Moderate) Support – Act as a frontline point of resolution for internal teams and client-impacting issues. Triage and prioritize tickets, including sentiment analysis and response recommendations. Partner with go-to-market, business process, engineering, and enterprise support teams for escalation and resolution.
- Knowledge Management – Develop and maintain internal and client-facing knowledge documentation. Leverage AI tools to create, update, and validate content for accuracy and usability. Ensure knowledge resources are accessible, current, and aligned to evolving product functionality.
- Client & Stakeholder Enablement – Partner with onboarding, training, and communications teams to support product launches and updates. Translate product changes into clear guidance for internal teams and advertising clients. Support readiness activities to ensure successful adoption of new features.
- Experience Advocacy – Analyze user feedback, case trends, and operational data to identify experience gaps. Represent internal and client needs in product discussions and prioritization. Partner cross-functionally to improve workflows, tooling, and overall product experience.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience across AdTech products and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe, and/or analytics tools)
- Experience managing proprietary tools, platforms, or operational product workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through uncertainty
- Ability to communicate complex product and technology concepts in clear, easy-to-understand terminology
- Ability to influence peers and partners to find common ground, drive consistency, facilitate conversations, and navigate competing interests
- Familiarity with support models, ticketing systems, and escalation processes
- Experience creating and delivering product tools and stakeholder materials
- Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of AI tools and prompt engineering, particularly for workflow optimization or support operations
- Media effectiveness background
