APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design, develop and maintain software for log ingestion pipeline. Build and maintain a high-volume crowdsourcing platform to ingest 100s of thousands of requests per second and process multiple petabytes of data per day from billions of iOS devices. Enrich maps data, real-time traffic information, and personalized suggestions. Work on challenging big data problems involving real-time, high volume, and low latency processing of crowdsourced geospatial and temporal data. Designing, and implementing scalable server-side APIs. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
Using Java or C++ programming languages
Understanding the principles and techniques behind the design of distributed systems, such as locking, concurrency, caching, prefetching, scheduling, and communication across the network.
Utilizing public cloud infrastructures: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Designing, implementing, and debugging real distributed systems
Using cloud storage concepts like data distribution, durability, consistency, and redundancy
NoSql databases and object storage using HDFS and Cassandra
Building RESTFul APIs to read and write data
Testing software system via Unit tests
Using Protocol Buffers to communicate data over the network
