Role Summary
The Senior Endpoint Engineer provides advanced Tier 3 support and technical leadership for the user experience, configuration, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise endpoints. This role directly impacts how employees work by ensuring devices are secure, stable, and modern.
You will lead endpoint engineering efforts across Windows, macOS, mobile, and virtual environments, partnering with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
Work Schedule
This role follows a hybrid schedule with an expectation of three days onsite per week. Onsite days are flexible and coordinated with the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage endpoint solutions including workstation updates, mobile device policies, and application based group policies
• Act as a senior technical resource for endpoint management platforms, driving configuration, reporting, and integration
• Oversee operating system updates, security patches, and application deployments to maintain compliance and system stability
• Manage the lifecycle of endpoint hardware and software, including drivers, BIOS, firmware, and build standards
• Develop and maintain endpoint images, deployment procedures, and modernization strategies
• Partner with cross functional IT teams to improve endpoint security, application packaging, and device management
• Support the rollout of next generation endpoint and virtual desktop technologies
• Define and enforce endpoint hardware standards, refresh strategies, and lifecycle processes
• Use metrics and reporting to track initiatives, identify trends, and provide updates to leadership
• Drive continuous improvement of endpoint engineering services in collaboration with infrastructure, operations, and information security teams
Key Requirements
• 5 to 8 years of experience deploying and managing operating systems and enterprise applications
• Hands on experience supporting Windows and macOS environments at scale
• Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, including group policy, DNS, replication, and organizational unit design
• Experience with Windows registry, permissions, macOS preferences, and driver management
• Proven expertise with System Center Configuration Manager and modern endpoint management tools
• Experience creating and maintaining Windows and macOS images using SCCM, Intune, and related technologies
• Solid background in mobile device management, endpoint protection, and encryption
• Experience packaging and deploying Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and cloud based endpoint solutions
• Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoint and connectivity environments
• Experience supporting virtual desktop environments and remote endpoints
• Familiarity with deployment testing, pilot programs, and incorporating user feedback
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $106,000 to $130,000, aligned with market expectations in California. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and location.
