Immediate Requirement AWS Cloud Migration Engineer

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Migration Engineer with proven expertise in migrating enterprise workloads from on-premises, VMware, Azure, or legacy environments to AWS. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience delivering end-to-end migration projects using AWS-native migration tools and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess infrastructure, applications, and databases for AWS migration readiness.

• Execute server migrations using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN).

• Perform database migrations using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT).

• Design and implement AWS Landing Zones, networking, and target-state infrastructure.

• Plan and execute migration waves, cutovers, rollback strategies, and post-migration validation.

• Conduct application discovery and dependency mapping.

• Migrate Windows, Linux, VMware, and Azure-based workloads to AWS.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, database, and business teams throughout the migration lifecycle.

• Ensure security, governance, compliance, and operational readiness of migrated environments.

• Create migration documentation, runbooks, and technical artifacts.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with the AWS Migration Framework and 7 R's Migration Strategy.

• Hands-on expertise with AWS MGN, AWS DMS, SCT, and Migration Hub.

• Experience with VMware-to-AWS and/or Azure-to-AWS migrations.

• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, including VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Route 53, Security Groups, and Elastic Load Balancers.

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Experience migrating Windows Server, Linux, .NET, and SQL Server workloads.

• Strong understanding of migration planning, dependency mapping, cutover execution, and rollback procedures.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

• Experience with AWS MAP (Migration Acceleration Program).

• Experience migrating large-scale enterprise environments.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Amazon EKS, and CI/CD tools.

• Experience with post-migration optimization and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
