Data Scientist (2 Open Roles - Pricing & General Initiatives)
Location: Winston-Salem, NC - Hybrid (On-site M-W required)
Type: Contract with potential for hire
Level: Mid to senior
About the Opportunity
We are seeking two Data Scientists to join the team-one focused on Pricing initiatives and one supporting a broader portfolio of data science projects and enterprise initiatives. These roles are ideal for hands-on practitioners who can deliver immediate impact while also contributing to the long-term evolution of the data science function.
These positions offer the opportunity to enhance existing models, drive automation, and partner closely with cross-functional teams. We're looking for collaborative problem-solvers who thrive in a highly engaged environment-not heads down coders, but communicators who enjoy working with others toward shared goals.
Local candidates or those willing to be onsite three days per week (Monday-Wednesday) are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Data Scientist
Enhance and refine pricing models, including price elasticity modeling.
Improve and automate existing pricing-related tools and data science workflows.
Support PACE and Pricing teams with advanced analytics and demand forecasting.
Optimize existing model execution to improve scalability, performance, and reliability.
General Data Scientist (Projects & Initiatives)
Contribute to a wide range of enterprise data science initiatives and products.
Evaluate and improve automation of existing models and analytical processes.
Build, enhance, and operationalize machine learning and statistical solutions.
Work cross-functionally to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
Strong candidates will have:
Experience with model development, deployment, and performance optimization.
Background in automating data science workflows and operationalizing ML solutions.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners; strong communication skills.
Practical, hands-on experience applying data science to real business problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pricing analytics, elasticity modeling, or demand forecasting.
Background working with large-scale, distributed data systems.
Familiarity with Databricks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), or ML Ops tooling.
Experience working in consumer goods, retail, or regulated industries.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr.
