Summary

About the Organization

Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We're looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Senior Cyber Operations Engineer to lead high-stakes technical efforts within the Computer Network Operations (CNO) domain. This role requires a deep technical understanding of offensive cyber operations and mission engineering. You will be responsible for designing and developing solutions that integrate diverse operational tools into unified, scalable workflows. As a senior leader, you will provide critical guidance to mission planners and operators while mentoring the next generation of engineering talent to ensure mission success in complex digital environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level engineering services to support the full spectrum of Computer Network Operations (CNO).
  • Design and develop advanced solutions that integrate tools and capabilities from multiple sources into unified operational workflows.
  • Lead technical integration and engineering efforts that directly support cyber mission operations.
  • Provide high-level technical guidance and operational recommendations to mission planning teams.
  • Drive the development and enhancement of effects-based cyber capabilities.
  • Perform deep-dive technical analysis of operational requirements and translate them into robust engineering solutions.
  • Support vulnerability research (VR), reverse engineering (RE), and the development of operational capabilities.
  • Administer and support Linux-based systems and the underlying operational infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with operators, analysts, developers, and engineers to continuously improve mission effectiveness.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary teams.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • An active Top Secret security clearance.
  • 7+ of related experience in offensive cyber engineering, cyber capability development, penetration testing, malware analysis, or traffic analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating cyber tools and operational workflows into cohesive systems.
  • Proven experience with vulnerability research (VR) and reverse engineering (RE) of network and system vulnerabilities.
  • Experience supporting or developing effects-based CNO capabilities.
  • Strong mastery of networking technologies and protocols.
  • Experience administering and securing Linux-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience applying diverse technologies within operational CNO environments.
  • Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Security, or Network Engineering.
  • Equivalency Path: In lieu of a degree, candidates may substitute 5+ years of CNO experience AND at least one of the following certifications:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP)
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)

Desired Experience

  • Experience working with or developing tools for 5G/4G cellular, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Advanced understanding of network protocols and packet-level analysis.
  • Experience dissecting proprietary or undocumented protocols.
  • Experience leading technical teams or providing formal mentorship to engineering staff.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to operational and mission leadership.
  • Prior experience supporting high-tempo operational cyber mission environments.
