JOB SUMMARY:

Manufacturing Production Process Engineering focuses on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods including: Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Individuals in these roles have a functional knowledge focus and are primarily responsible for achieving results through their own work and through teams that they may be part of.
  • Requires the application of theoretical knowledge typically gained through formal education (i.e. a postsecondary degree) and on the job training.
  • Progression within the levels reflects increased functional expertise, scope and complexity of work, and ability to influence others.
  • May mentor, coach and/or train less experienced co-workers.
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Growing knowledge of industry practices.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems; analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products and services.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  • Errors in judgment or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
  • Works under general direction.
  • Participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Represents organization as a prime contact on programs or projects.
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation
Education & Experience:

High School Education or equivalent + 6 yrs related experience
