Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to support large scale digital and e commerce initiatives for one of our key clients. This role requires a highly organized, proactive delivery leader who thrives in complex, fast paced environments and can successfully navigate multiple stakeholders, interconnected applications, and competing priorities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in e commerce project delivery, with the technical understanding needed to partner effectively with software engineering, product, architecture, and business teams. While hands on development experience is not required, this individual must be comfortable discussing technical concepts, understanding application dependencies, and translating high level business objectives into actionable delivery plans.

This is a highly visible, client facing role requiring exceptional communication skills, strong executive presence, and the ability to drive accountability and results across multiple teams.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Execution

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex digital and e commerce initiatives involving multiple application and engineering teams.
• Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Translate strategic business objectives into actionable project plans, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical delivery.
• Proactively identify roadblocks, manage competing priorities, and drive resolution of issues that could impact timelines or deliverables.
• Establish clear accountability across participating teams and maintain momentum throughout the project lifecycle.

• Partner closely with engineering teams, architects, Product Owners, and technical leads to understand solution designs, delivery dependencies, and implementation requirements.
• Demonstrate a working understanding of modern digital platforms, including RESTful APIs, backend services, native mobile applications, web applications, and system integrations.
• Understand how different application teams and technology components interact to support end to end e commerce experiences.
• Work with Product Owners and engineering teams to align features, epics, and user stories with project objectives and delivery timelines.
• Provide tactical direction and coordination at the feature or story level when needed to keep delivery on track.
• Facilitate technical discussions, clarify ownership across teams, and ensure cross functional dependencies are identified and addressed.

• Serve as a key point of contact for client stakeholders, business leaders, and technical delivery teams.
• Develop and deliver polished, executive level project updates highlighting progress, accomplishments, risks, decisions, and next steps.
• Communicate complex technical information in clear, business focused language appropriate for both technical and non technical audiences.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders while navigating organizational complexity and competing priorities.
• Lead cross functional meetings, facilitate decision making, and drive timely resolution of escalated issues.

• Support Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and cross team coordination.
• Utilize Jira and other project management tools to track progress, manage dependencies, and provide delivery visibility.
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure feature and epic delivery aligns with business commitments and project milestones.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, team collaboration, and operational efficiency.
• Explore the use of AI enabled tools to improve project planning, reporting, risk identification, and overall delivery effectiveness.

• 8+ years of project management experience, including leadership of complex, enterprise level technology or digital initiatives.
• Demonstrated e commerce experience is required, including delivery of digital commerce platforms, customer facing applications, or related capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex projects involving multiple application teams, cross functional stakeholders, and interdependent technical deliverables.
• Strong technical fluency with an understanding of modern application development concepts, including APIs, native mobile development, web applications, backend services, and system integrations.
• Experience partnering directly with engineering teams and providing tactical delivery guidance at the feature, epic, or user story level.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC practices, and software delivery processes.
• Experience managing project risks, dependencies, schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver polished presentations and project updates to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, influence without direct authority, and drive results in complex organizational environments.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Education: Bachelor's in computer science or related field

• Experience with Jira for Agile project tracking, reporting, and delivery management.
• Experience with Apptio or related technology financial management and portfolio planning tools.
• Previous experience supporting large scale consumer facing e commerce platforms, digital transformation, or mobile application initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud native applications, microservices, API integrations, and modern enterprise architecture.
• Experience coordinating delivery across multiple vendors or geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Experience leveraging AI assisted project management tools to improve reporting, planning, documentation, and delivery efficiency.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or SAFe are a plus.
