Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager IV to support a global team responsible for managing programmatic design changes across data center infrastructure projects. This role will coordinate complex design changes from initial request through technical evaluation, stakeholder alignment, integration, and implementation across active data center design portfolios.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering or construction management, experience managing large and complex construction projects, and strong program/project management skills. This role requires someone who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, evaluate technical readiness, communicate with leadership, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple global programmatic design changes across active data center design portfolios.
  • Review requests from teams seeking to modify elements of data center designs.
  • Evaluate proposed changes from a technical and business perspective to ensure they are viable and aligned with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure proper alignment and successful implementation of design changes.
  • Assess the technical readiness of proposed changes before moving them into active data center design programs.
  • Integrate design changes across multiple engineering disciplines and ensure appropriate technical coordination.
  • Communicate program status, risks, issues, and key decisions to business and technical leadership.
  • Maintain and manage project/program tracking tools, including Smartsheet and other program management tools.
  • Support data center design initiatives across global regions, including APAC, EMEA, and other international locations.
  • Work with teams involved in data center Basis of Design (BoD) and site adaptation activities.
  • Collaborate on innovative infrastructure initiatives involving areas such as machine learning infrastructure, liquid cooling, and other emerging data center technologies.
  • Participate in daily and weekly team meetings, stakeholder syncs, and initiative-level stand-ups.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across design engineering and related business functions.

 
Required Qualifications / Must-Have Skills

  • 8+ years of professional experience in project/program management, construction engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Engineering degree required. Candidates with a Construction Management degree may also be considered if they possess significant relevant experience.
  • Strong background in construction engineering or construction management, preferably involving large-scale and complex construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects/programs involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Smartsheet.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to evaluate technical requirements, coordinate across multiple disciplines, and drive stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and leadership.


Project Scope
This role supports global data center design programs across multiple regions, including:

  • Asia-Pacific (APAC)
  • Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
  • Additional international regions

Projects and initiatives may include:

  • Data center Basis of Design (BoD)
  • Site adaptation of data center designs
  • Global programmatic engineering changes
  • Machine learning infrastructure
  • Liquid cooling technologies
  • Emerging data center infrastructure solutions
  • Large-scale and complex construction and infrastructure programs

 
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, in addition to a PE license.
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects with scope and complexity comparable to data center infrastructure.
  • Experience working on a diverse portfolio of large construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with data center design, construction, or infrastructure programs.
  • Experience working with global teams across regions such as APAC and EMEA.
  • Familiarity with emerging data center technologies, including liquid cooling and machine learning infrastructure

 Travel

  • Up to 10% domestic travel
  • Occasional international travel may be required
