Job Title:
Electrical Engineer I / II / III (New Nuclear Projects)

Location:
Morrison Energy Center (MEC)

Summary:
Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support advanced nuclear energy projects, including owner's engineering oversight, construction support, design reviews, licensing activities, and progressive design/build initiatives. The role involves performing complex engineering analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards, supporting large-scale construction projects, and providing technical leadership. Candidates may be considered at Engineer I, II, or III level based on education and experience.

Required / Mandatory Skills:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or higher
  • Electrical engineering experience aligned to Engineer I, II, or III level requirements
  • Knowledge of advanced nuclear reactor/plant design
  • Knowledge of ASME, IEEE, and NFPA 70 codes and requirements
  • Experience with high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical design and coordination
  • Experience with electrical design of substations, transmission systems, transformers, switchgear, cable raceways, grounding systems, protection systems, digital relays, and controls
  • Experience supporting engineering analysis, design reviews, and construction projects
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and engineering standards

Qualification:
  • Engineer III: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7+ years of engineering experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with PE License and 8+ years of engineering experience.
  • Engineer II: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of discipline-specific engineering experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with PE License and 5+ years of discipline-specific engineering experience.
  • Engineer I: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 1+ year of engineering experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with PE License and 1+ year of engineering experience.
  • PE License is preferred.
  • Commercial nuclear plant experience is preferred.
  • Experience with large construction projects is preferred.
