Job Description: Technical Business Analyst

Location: North Brunswick NJ (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Duration: Long term

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will gather and translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications, leverage AI tools to accelerate documentation and design work, and drive projects from requirements gathering through UAT and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders

• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows using AI tools

• Conduct gap analysis between current and future state systems/processes

Design & Documentation

• Create clickable wireframes in HTML using AI tools, data flow diagrams, and system documentation as needed

• Understand database structures, system integration design, and write SQL queries to support data analysis

• Demonstrate familiarity with understanding UI API calls and responses

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to ensure requirements are correctly implemented

• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) planning and execution

• Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions

• Demonstrate strong understanding of technical challenges raised by the development team

Project Ownership

• Own end-to-end project planning, including scope definition, timeline management, and resource allocation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technical/IT environment

• Strong understanding of system integration design, databases, and SQL querying for data analysis

• Familiarity with UI/API interactions (requests, responses, and integration points)

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to support requirements documentation, wireframing, and process mapping

• Ability to create wireframes, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments (backlog grooming, sprint planning, requirement walkthroughs)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with comfort engaging in technical discussions with development teams

• Experience supporting UAT planning and execution

• Strong project planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage scope, timelines, and resources
