OverviewWe're seeking a customer-focused
Windows 11 Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced
hospital environment. You'll handle the full lifecycle of end-user devices-
setup, installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance-while ensuring minimal disruption to clinical staff and patient care.
What you'll do- Stage, image, and deploy PCs, laptops, and peripherals; join devices to the domain and perform post-deployment validation.
- Troubleshoot Windows 11 (and Windows 10 when encountered) OS, drivers, profiles, GPO effects, printing, and application issues; document accurate, complete ticket notes for escalation when needed.
- Support hardware (desktops/laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, badge readers, carts) and software (O365/Outlook, standard clinical apps) with an emphasis on uptime and customer service.
- Diagnose network-adjacent issues (Wi-Fi connectivity, NICs, DHCP/DNS name resolution, VPN) and collaborate with network/server teams as needed.
- Perform upgrades and preventive maintenance (firmware/BIOS, patches, replacements) and track assets through the full lifecycle.
- Follow hospital security & privacy practices (least privilege, data handling, device sanitization) and maintain compliance with site policies.
- Provide floor support to clinicians and administrative staff; communicate status updates in user-friendly language and meet SLAs.
Must-have qualifications- 1-3+ years in hardware support / desktop support in enterprise or healthcare settings.
- Proficiency with Windows 11 (and Windows 10), imaging tools (e.g., MDT/SCCM/Intune Autopilot), drivers, and user profile remediation.
- Strong troubleshooting of end-user issues, ticket hygiene, and escalation practices.
- Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi) and remote tools (e.g., Quick Assist/Remote Help).
- Excellent customer service skills; calm, professional communication in urgent clinical scenarios.
- Ability to lift/move up to ~40-50 lbs and spend extended time walking/standing in hospital facilities.
Nice to have- Experience in a hospital or clinical environment; exposure to EHRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Active Directory/Azure AD, conditional access, and basic SCCM/Intune admin tasks.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (or similar ITSM), asset tagging, and CMDB accuracy.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MD-102 or equivalent).
Work environment & compliance- Onsite role within a hospital; PPE and site safety protocols may apply.
- Role may require background check, drug screen, immunization records (e.g., flu/Tdap/MMR/Varicella), and TB screening per client policy.
- Ability to support after-hours/on-call rotations as scheduled.
How success will be measured- First-contact resolution rate, SLA adherence, ticket quality/closure time, asset accuracy, and customer satisfaction feedback.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
