Enterprise Technology Tools
Location: Northern Trust Enterprise Technology Tools Team - Chicago or Tempe

Overview

Northern Trust is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Technology Tools team. As a Senior Principal Consultant , you will lead the technical architecture and implementation of enterprise technology and business applications, supporting platforms such as ServiceNow, Clarity PPM, Modo, Poppulo, and Sapience.

Key Responsibilities
Assess and recommend enterprise applications and solutions that best fit business and project needs.
Research alternatives and propose efficient, cost-effective solutions.
Adhere to Northern Trust's architectural standards for designing, building, and operating cloud and vendor applications.
Manage multiple projects and teams, balancing competing priorities.
Collaborate with Development, Product, Business, Operations, and IT support teams to define requirements and deliver strategic solutions.
Develop and communicate a strategic roadmap for application modernization.
Mentor and consult with colleagues, sharing expertise through presentations and documentation.
Provide technical consultation to clients, partners, IT management, and vendors to ensure successful technology integration.
Identify solutions that deliver business value while minimizing technical debt.
Work directly with development teams, IT support, and vendors to resolve technical issues and implementation challenges.
Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and understand the technical and business processes of supported applications.
Troubleshoot and test software to resolve issues.
Adapt quickly to new challenges and a fast-paced environment.
Lead the planning and delivery of 2-3 cloud initiatives annually, exercising creativity and judgment.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Apply technical knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD automation orchestration.
Mentor and train team members, document processes, and support their needs.
Leverage financial industry experience as a plus.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience implementing Software as a Service (SaaS) applications and tools.
Familiarity with IT Service Management, DevOps, and Software Quality Management tools.
Minimum 8 years as a Developer, Technical Lead, or Architect for enterprise applications.
Understanding of public cloud security principles.
Experience with access and data provisioning, storage, manipulation, and retention.
Experience collaborating with support teams to implement application access, data management, integrations, and operations.

Salary Range:
$164,600 - 288,000 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
