Description
We are looking for a Senior Associate, Data Center Technician to join a Contract position supporting critical data center operations in Los Angeles, California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, values precision, and can keep infrastructure running reliably in a high-availability environment. You will contribute to equipment installation, operational support, and service delivery while maintaining clear records and responding effectively to on-site needs.
Responsibilities:
Install, connect, and maintain servers, network devices, and structured cabling within the data center environment.
Inspect hardware and infrastructure regularly to identify issues early and resolve equipment-related problems efficiently.
Coordinate and complete customer deployment activities, including setup requests and on-site technical support tasks.
Track environmental and operational conditions across the facility and escalate unusual readings or incidents when needed.
Record completed work, updates, and technical findings in a clear and accurate manner for operational continuity.
Respond to service requests in a timely fashion while helping maintain uptime in a mission-critical setting.
Follow established safety, access, and operational procedures when performing work on-site.
Ensure required candidate submission documentation is properly collected and attached during the hiring process, including privacy-related attestations when applicable.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience working with IT hardware, server installation, and physical infrastructure support.
Working knowledge of cabling practices, network equipment, and data center operating standards.
Ability to diagnose hardware-related issues and take practical steps toward resolution.
Strong documentation habits with attention to accuracy and process compliance.
Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with service request handling and day-to-day operational support activities.
Understanding of data center safety expectations and mission-critical work environments.
