Position summary
Design and deliver software, integrations, and orchestration that power an enterprise private cloud. Partner with infrastructure architects and operations teams to convert platform requirements into reliable, production-grade automation for Day-0 through Day-N operations.
What you’ll do
- Build automation services and tooling using Python plus JavaScript/TypeScript
- Design and consume RESTful APIs; create API-first, event-driven, and message-based integrations
- Implement ServiceNow Service Catalog items, APIs, and workflow automation
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management
- Integrate platform services with Terraform and Ansible; codify reusable modules/playbooks
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git/GitOps workflows for automation artifacts
- Orchestrate VM and Kubernetes cluster/node/application provisioning
- Integrate with CMDB, DCIM, inventory, and asset-management systems; ensure data synchronization
- Build monitoring and observability integrations (e.g., Dynatrace) and event-driven actions
- Automate incident, change, and operational workflows to reduce MTTR and manual effort
- Support platform onboarding and Day-0 to Day-N operations with reusable runbooks and guardrails
- Collaborate with architects/engineers to convert designs into secure, supportable software
Must-have qualifications
- 6–9 years in software development, platform engineering, systems integration, or automation
- Strong hands-on Python; working experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Proven experience designing, building, and integrating REST APIs
- Track record building API-driven and event-driven integrations
- Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible in production environments
- ServiceNow development experience (APIs, Service Catalog, workflows)
- Git/GitOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Orchestration/automation experience for infrastructure platforms (VMware/KVM/cloud, Kubernetes)
- Solid grasp of enterprise integration patterns and automated workflows
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and deliver maintainable, testable code
Nice-to-have qualifications
- Event-driven architecture experience and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS)
- VM and Kubernetes provisioning automation (e.g., Cluster API, Helm, Argo CD)
- CMDB/DCIM integration experience and inventory reconciliation
- Inventory synchronization services and data quality automation
- Monitoring/observability integration (Dynatrace or similar tools like Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus)
- Automated incident and change management workflows
- Day-0/Day-1/Day-2+ automation patterns and runbook automation
- Experience with private cloud or large-scale enterprise infrastructure platforms

- Monitoring events driving automated remediation or precise escalation paths
- Stable CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, linting, and security scans for automation code
Education and certifications (optional)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Plus: Terraform, Kubernetes, or ServiceNow certifications
Work model
- Hybrid or remote with periodic collaboration sessions
- Occasional off-hours support for critical releases or incidents (as needed)
