Job Overview:

Pay Range: $60hr - $65hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Strong programming skills on the iSeries platform.
• Experience analyzing and creating new programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and CLP/CLLE.
• Hands-on experience working on EDI platforms on iSeries.
• Knowledge of various EDI transaction types such as 810, 850, 820, and 856.
• Strong knowledge of SQL concepts, including analyzing and modifying complex SQL queries.
• Experience with embedded SQL in SQLRPGLE and cursor programming.
• Strong database knowledge, including Physical Files, Logical Files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
• Experience with screen programming, including Display Files, Subfiles, and Printer Files.
• Ability to document business rules effectively and create data mapping documents after analyzing program and data flows.
• Experience with ILE programming, including program modules, binding directories, and service programs.
• Working knowledge of Message Queue (MQ), MQ triggers, and embedding XML tags in RPG programs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to independently own project tasks and coordinate with client-site analysts.

Experience:

• Experience with Trusted Link preferred.
• Experience with MDCMS or Turnover for code configuration management preferred.
• Experience with X-Analysis or similar cross-reference tools preferred.
• Experience with triggers and message queuing for inter-program and inter-system communication preferred.
• Experience with ROBOT job scheduler for creating and managing scheduled jobs preferred.
• Experience with iSeries Navigator for query execution and SQL performance analysis preferred.
• Retail domain experience preferred, especially in Merchandising, Warehouse Management, and Distribution.
• Knowledge of normalized and denormalized tables and star schema databases preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and create new programs on the iSeries platform using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and CLP/CLLE.
• Support and maintain EDI platform functionality on iSeries.
• Work with EDI transaction types such as 810, 850, 820, and 856.
• Analyze and modify complex SQL queries and embedded SQL programs.
• Perform cursor programming and SQL-based data handling.
• Create and analyze Physical Files, Logical Files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
• Develop and maintain screen programming components such as Display Files, Subfiles, and Printer Files.
• Document business rules and prepare data mapping documents based on program and data flow analysis.
• Develop and support ILE program modules, binding directories, and service programs.
• Work with MQ, MQ triggers, and XML integration within RPG programs.
• Collaborate with analysts and client stakeholders to independently manage assigned project tasks.
