Come innovate with us!Position SummaryThe supply chain engineer will analyze, improve, and oversee Samsung's supply chain systems and processes, and design and implement programs to improve the efficiency of those processes. They will study the existing infrastructure for supply chain and logistics operations, identifying opportunities for improvements, and design systems that streamline or automate procedures. The goal is to increase productivity, eliminate waste, and cut expenses. They use a variety of software programs and tools, and may also use statistical calculations and data analysis to determine the most efficient routines and strategies.
Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements from cross-functional stakeholders including logistics, operations, finance, security, compliance, and IT.
- Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement across logistics, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Evaluate current supply chain, logistics, and systems infrastructure to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization or automation.
- Develop functional and technical specifications for system and process improvements, including scope, requirements, timelines, and success metrics.
- Design, implement, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions that provide clear, status-at-a-glance visibility to support operational and executive decision-making.
- Build, manage, and continuously improve KPIs and metrics to measure performance, cost, efficiency, service levels, and supply risk.
- Perform systems analytics and troubleshooting to maximize system effectiveness and support day-to-day operational execution.
- Develop and execute data and project plans to support logistics, transportation, warehouse efficiency, inventory management, and order fulfillment initiatives.
- Translate corporate and regional strategies into actionable network optimization, logistics, and systems improvement initiatives.
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects by applying disciplined analytics, modeling, trending, and process improvement methodologies to reduce cost, eliminate waste, and mitigate supply risk.
- Determine efficient utilization of resources by analyzing layouts, labor models, equipment usage, and transportation or driver utilization.
- Support testing, validation, and implementation of new systems, tools, or process changes, ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
- Provide data management support including accessing raw data feeds, building queries, macros, and reports (e.g., Excel, SQL, VBA) to enable accurate and timely insights.
- Take ownership of reporting processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness, and actively resolve data discrepancies.
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations through clear documentation, reports, and presentations tailored to technical, managerial, and executive audiences.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating progress, risks, and outcomes effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain internal and external documentation related to systems, processes, and requirements, including recurring status reports.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers to support system integration and solution delivery.
- Support cross-functional teams in the day-to-day execution of existing programs and ongoing system implementations.
- Generate complex queries and deep-dive analyses to investigate process issues and performance gaps.
- Drive innovation to improve operational efficiency, system effectiveness, and customer experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or logistics including direct vendor oversight and performance accountability.
- Lean, Six Sigma, APICS CPIM, or CPSM certifications preferred.
- AIAG Auditor Training or equivalent experience with quality systems auditing preferred.
- 2 or more years in a production environment a plus.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse operations, and audit compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to define, monitor, and act on operational KPIs.
- Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with contract development or negotiation support related to warehousing or logistics services.
- Working knowledge of transportation coordination and logistics planning.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills; effective communication.
- Skilled in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of data and provide issue resolution to closure.
- Highly detail-oriented; delivers products as promised.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- Ability to influence up, down, and across the organization.
- Excellent critical thinking skills; recognize third and fourth order effects of a catalyst event.
- Solid problem solving and analytical skills; recognize friction points and resolve delays in material delivery.

- Confluence or similar platform exposure experience, a plus.

The current base salary range for this role is between $57,760 - $156,950. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
