Electrical Maintenance Technician

Introduction:

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for ensuring that equipment and facilities are maintained to operate safely and efficiently. This position supports continuous improvement, production strategies, and plant reliability in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and a commitment to upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Adherence to governmental regulatory programs and policies such as National Electrical Code, EPA, and UBC
• Compliance with plant and maintenance department safety procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out and Arc Flash
• Documentation of planned and unplanned work findings via CMMS
• Execution of equipment repairs, installations, and maintenance activities
• Utilization of predictive maintenance technologies to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Interpretation of technical documents and diagrams
• Performing maintenance and repair services on facility systems
• Educating operations team on equipment care concepts

Requirements:

Required Skills: 480v, Electrical, Manufacturing, Maintenance

Preferred Skills: Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Welding

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in  manufacturing
• Experience with electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs up to 480v
• Technical school education or certifications preferred
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus

Licenses or Certifications:

• Mechanical or electrical certifications/licenses preferred
• Valid Driver''s License
• Forklift and aerial lifts certification or willingness to obtain
