About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join our healthcare technology team. The ideal candidate will be EPIC certified, have hands-on expertise with FHIR and HL7, and demonstrate success in integrating EHR/EMR systems with third-party applications. This role is 100% remote and offers the opportunity to work on critical projects improving healthcare interoperability and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement integrations between EPIC and third-party systems using HL7, FHIR, APIs, and other interoperability standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical, business, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions.
  • Configure, test, and validate EPIC workflows and data exchange processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Document technical workflows and provide support for ongoing enhancements.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in healthcare interoperability.

Required Qualifications

  • EPIC Certification in relevant module(s) (e.g., Bridges, Interconnect, or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT integration roles.
  • Hands-on experience with FHIR, HL7, RESTful APIs, and healthcare data exchange standards.
  • Strong understanding of EHR/EMR workflows and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with integration tools, scripting, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CCD, CDA, or X12 standards.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) in a healthcare context.
  • Previous experience working with healthcare providers, payers, or digital health systems.
