OverviewLMI is seeking an F-35 Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Supply Chain and Logistics to support the LogIT program and OSW sustainment efforts. This role focuses initially on leading systems engineering activities centered on requirements development, traceability, and verification and testing within the engineering lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with operational logistics needs and program objectives. The candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team within an Agile framework, collaborating closely with program leadership to integrate systems engineering rigor into iterative delivery. Serving as a key interface between stakeholders, the individual maintains a big-picture perspective on program goals while driving disciplined execution, risk management, and continuous improvement. As the program evolves, responsibilities will expand to encompass broader systems integration and lifecycle support, ensuring the F-35 LogIT effort delivers scalable, compliant, and mission-focused capabilities.

Responsibilities- Lead a multidisciplinary systems engineering team responsible for executing requirements development, system design support, and verification and validation activities for enterprise logistics information systems supporting asset accountability, property management, and lifecycle logistics operations.
- Direct and manage the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle following the engineering V-model, including stakeholder engagement, needs analysis, requirements elicitation, decomposition, traceability, and configuration management.
- Establish and oversee a structured requirements management process, ensuring clear documentation, traceability, and alignment between operational needs and implemented solutions.
- Lead development and execution of test and evaluation strategies, including verification and validation planning, test case development, execution oversight, and assessment of results to ensure system performance meets defined requirements.
- Integrate systems engineering activities within a SAFe 6 Agile framework, ensuring alignment between requirements, architecture, and testing across Program Increments and cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to model business processes, system architectures, and operational workflows supporting enterprise logistics and asset lifecycle environments.
- Guide system design trade studies and solution analysis to improve asset visibility, accountability, and lifecycle performance.
- Oversee data-driven analysis of existing logistics and asset management processes and translate findings into system and process improvement recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership and systems engineering oversight for implementation efforts, ensuring integration across organizational and technical boundaries.
- Support program management activities including planning, risk management, and development of executive briefings and decision-support materials.
- Lead preparation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate requirements, system designs, test results, and program status to senior leadership.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering within enterprise logistics, asset management, or complex information system environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams responsible for requirements engineering and system testing/verification.
- Strong working knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and engineering V-model, including requirements management and verification and validation processes.
- Experience working in a SAFe 6 Agile environment, integrating systems engineering practices with Agile delivery.
- Experience with requirements management tools, systems modeling techniques, or structured engineering methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across organizational boundaries.
- Self-directed and adaptable in dynamic program environments.
- Availability for occasional travel.
Desired Qualifications:- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
- INCOSE or other systems engineering certification.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or digital engineering environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise logistics or asset accountability systems.
- Experience supporting DoD industrial, maintenance, or enterprise asset management organizations.
The target salary range for this position is $130,000-$190,000.
