Role Summary

This role will require some travel to the Charlotte area and potentially some of their data centers across the country. Otherwise, it will be fully remote. The duration is at least one year and potentially 18 months plus. We are actively searching and interviewing.

Executive Summary

Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Exadata Database Machine Administrator (DMA) to

provide dedicated ownership of enterprise Exadata platforms. This role ensures system stability,

performance, and patch compliance while operating as an independent technical leader within a

broader infrastructure and database team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration of Oracle Exadata systems (compute, storage, networking)
• Perform proactive monitoring, health checks, and alert management
• Lead quarterly full stack patching (DB, Grid, OS, Storage Cells)
• Manage performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization
• Serve as escalation lead for production incidents and root cause analysis
• Develop runbooks and operational standards

Required Experience

• 10+ years Oracle DBA experience
• 5+ years Oracle Exadata administration (DMA)
• Experience with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, OEM
• Strong Exadata patching and performance tuning experience
