Job Role: ITOM Developer & Integration SME
Location: San Ramon, CA/Remote
Job Description:
An ITOM (IT Operations Management) Developer and Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) designs, implements, and integrates ITOM solutions to provide end to end visibility, automation, and operational efficiency across IT infrastructure and services.
Key Responsibilities
ITOM Development
- Design, configure, and customize ITOM modules (Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, AIOps, Cloud Observability)
- Develop scripts, workflows, and automation using platform-native tools (e.g., scripts, flows, orchestration)
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for ITOM-related deployments
- Implement health dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics
Integrations
- Design and implement bi-directional integrations with:
o Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, SCOM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus)
o Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
o Ticketing & ITSM tools
o CMDB data sources
- Use REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, MID Servers, and message queues
- Ensure data normalization, reconciliation, and CMDB data quality
SME & Governance
- Act as the technical authority for ITOM architecture and integrations
- Define integration standards, patterns, and best practices
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and performance bottlenecks
- Support audits, compliance, and operational readiness
