Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager IT Security Operations in Draper, UT.

Overview:
The Senior Manager, IT Security Operations is responsible for leading and maturing enterprise security operations capabilities. This role oversees the detection, response, and remediation of cybersecurity threats while ensuring the stability and continuous improvement of core security services. The position partners closely with security, IT, and business teams to align operational security controls with enterprise risk priorities. This leader brings a balance of hands-on technical expertise and strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement across the cybersecurity program.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead security operations (SOC) activities including monitoring, detection, and alert triage
* Oversee security tools such as SIEM, EDR, NDR, and related monitoring platforms
* Enhance detection capabilities through tuning, use case development, and threat intelligence integration
* Develop and maintain operational runbooks and standard operating procedures
* Lead incident response efforts including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery
* Ensure incident response processes are defined, tested, and continuously improved
* Conduct root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to strengthen controls
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams during high-impact incidents
* Lead vulnerability management program including scanning, prioritization, and remediation tracking
* Partner with IT and application teams to reduce risk exposure and improve patching
* Lead identity and access management efforts including identity lifecycle (Joiner/Mover/Leaver), authentication, and authorization
* Implement and manage access controls including RBAC/ABAC, MFA, conditional access, and PAM
* Oversee identity governance including access reviews, certifications, role design, and segregation of duties

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required
* CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or similar certifications preferred
* 8+ years of cybersecurity experience focused on operations, incident response, or threat management required
* 3+ years of leadership experience managing security teams or programs required
* Strong experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and detection tools
* Proven experience leading vulnerability management and remediation programs
* Experience developing metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting
* Deep understanding of incident response methodologies and frameworks
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and translate into business impact

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
