Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Coconut Creek, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of a government organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, ensuring seamless performance, and supporting both hardware and software needs.
Responsibilities:
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and resolve network and system failures effectively.
Troubleshoot and address complex inquiries or complaints related to IT operations.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software maintenance and consult with technical support teams to resolve application issues.
Create and manage user accounts for software and network applications across the organization.
Deploy and configure new hardware and software technologies to meet operational requirements.
Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software, and technology resources, reallocating as necessary.
Prepare and update documentation for systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Train end-users on technology systems and processes to improve efficiency and adoption.
Provide on-call support during off-hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Proven experience with VMware and information security practices.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows 10.
Familiarity with Dell Technologies, Citrix, and PBX systems, including ShoreTel VOIP.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset.
