Location: Remote (US)
Rate: $60-$70/HR on C2C & $52-$60/HR on W2

About the Role
Client is looking for an experienced Azure Data Architect to support enterprise data modernization initiatives. This role will focus on designing scalable cloud data platforms, modernizing data pipelines, and enabling high performance analytics using Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable enterprise data solutions leveraging Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks
• Build, optimize, and manage modern data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses supporting large scale data processing
• Develop and optimize data models, transformations, and performance tuning across cloud data platforms
• Work extensively with Databricks (PySpark), Snowflake, Python, and SQL to support advanced data engineering and analytics use cases
• Architect robust, scalable, and governed data solutions aligned with enterprise data quality and governance standards
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define efficient data architecture patterns and scalable integration frameworks
• Support cloud data modernization initiatives leveraging best practices in performance, scalability, and reliability

Required Skills

• Strong hands on expertise with Microsoft Azure data services (ADF, ADLS, Synapse preferred)
• Deep experience with Snowflake, Databricks / PySpark, Python, and advanced SQL
• Experience building and optimizing enterprise data pipelines and modern data architectures
• Strong understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and large scale distributed data processing
• Experience working in enterprise environments with focus on governance, quality, and scalable architecture design

Preferred

• Experience with modern lake house architectures
• Exposure to real time or streaming data pipelines is a plus
• Financial services or large enterprise transformation experience preferred
