P2P Business Analyst – Job Description
Role Summary
The Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) Business Analyst acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to enable efficient procurement, invoicing, and payment processes. This role is responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions across SAP (ECC/S/4), Ariba, Fieldglass, and integrated systems such as Workday etc
The analyst supports end‑to‑end P2P transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance standards, and enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Requirements
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across the P2P lifecycle (requisition → PO → receipt → invoice → payment).  
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and technical design inputs.  
• Perform gap analysis, impact assessment, and solution recommendations.
2. P2P Process & Solution Support
• Support core P2P processes including:
◦ Procurement (Direct & Indirect)
◦ Invoice processing
◦ Supplier onboarding & integration
• Partner with architects and developers to design and deliver solutions aligned with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, Ariba, and Fieldglass ecosystems.
 
3. Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
• Act as liaison between:
◦ Business (Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain)
◦ IT teams (Development, Architecture, QA)
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on priorities and delivery timelines.
 
Testing & Validation
• Support SIT and UAT cycles, including:
◦ Defect resolution
• Ensure delivered solutions meet functional and business needs before release.
5. Delivery & Implementation Support
• Support end‑to‑end project lifecycle (Design → Build → Test → Deploy).
• Coordinate with project managers and scrum teams for sprint planning and delivery tracking.
• Ensure smooth go‑live and post‑deployment support.
