Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Specialist with strong expertise in Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CCB) and enterprise testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test strategy, test design, automation framework assessment, and end-to-end testing across complex utility or enterprise application environments.
This role will be responsible for evaluating existing testing frameworks, defining automation strategies, developing test artifacts, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across system, integration, and regression testing cycles. The consultant will collaborate closely with program managers, project managers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to drive quality assurance initiatives and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing test architecture, automation frameworks, applications, and testing processes to develop a comprehensive automation roadmap and strategy.
- Assess Oracle CCB solutions, business processes, and application architecture to identify testing opportunities and quality improvements.
- Design and develop effective test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Participate in requirements reviews, solution design discussions, and development walkthroughs.
- Evaluate business requirements and technical specifications for testability and quality assurance readiness.
- Create and maintain system, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
- Execute functional, integration, and regression testing activities.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects through resolution and closure.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure testing activities align with project objectives and timelines.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements, automation opportunities, and testing best practices.
- Support knowledge management initiatives by maintaining testing documentation and reusable test assets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards, methodologies, and automation capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CCB).
- Extensive experience in Functional Testing across enterprise applications.
- Proven expertise in test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience assessing and improving test automation frameworks and testing strategies.
- Strong understanding of system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience analyzing business requirements, technical designs, and solution architectures from a testing perspective.
- Ability to work closely with business, functional, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
- Experience with Selenium Automation Framework.
- Exposure to automation roadmap planning and test framework modernization.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments.
