Position Overview
The State of Texas is seeking an experienced Senior PeopleSoft FSCM Upgrade Specialist to support large-scale ERP modernization initiatives, including concurrent PeopleSoft FSCM implementations and upgrade projects.
This role will focus on upgrading, configuring, and maintaining PeopleSoft FSCM environments running on Linux and Oracle platforms. The selected consultant will work closely with database administrators, infrastructure teams, and project stakeholders to build, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize multiple PeopleSoft environments throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 upgrades, middleware administration, environment management, automation, performance optimization, and enterprise application architecture.
This position may require occasional work outside normal business hours to support upgrade activities, deployments, and critical project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 upgrade initiatives and environment management activities.
- Plan and execute PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) upgrades.
- Build, configure, clone, refresh, and maintain multiple PeopleSoft environments.
- Coordinate closely with Oracle DBAs for environment setup and maintenance.
- Install, configure, and manage middleware components.
- Troubleshoot complex PeopleTools, middleware, and infrastructure issues.
- Support application deployment and migration activities.
- Configure and maintain PeopleSoft Search Framework environments.
- Develop automation scripts for system administration and deployment processes.
- Monitor application performance and recommend optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders throughout implementation and upgrade cycles.
- Create technical documentation, environment diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support production releases and post-implementation stabilization activities.
