Position will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only accept LOCAL ONLY candidates for this position

Work Description:

Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.

Contractor will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by managing a project which will enhance the system to expand the reporting available to program area users.. Contractor will manage a vendor software development team and coordinate with the in house software team, and collaborate with the program area to keep them informed and involved as appropriate. Contractor will manage the schedule, budget and scope for this project.

Contractor will be required to be on site 3 days per week, but this is subject to change and could increase to 5 days per week in the future.

Required Skills:

10 Years of Project Management

10 Years of Managing enterprise scale data management projects.

8 Years of Managing agile projects at state or federal government agencies or similar

5 Years of Knowledge and experience with common project management systems like Jira, Micro Focus Project Management etc.

1 Year of Certified PMP

Preferred Skills:

3 Years of Experience with creating Texas Project Delivery Framework deliverables and managing projects using this framework strongly preferred.

1 Year of Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile-related certifications
