Role Overview

Lead the strategy, engineering, and delivery of proprietary applications supporting Fixed Income Index portfolio management teams globally.

Lead the evolution of the Fixed Income Index technology suite, balancing business demand, platform strategy, engineering capacity, and investment outcomes. Partner closely with Product Owners, Workflow Leads, Portfolio Managers, and technology teams to rapidly translate emerging business needs into scalable technology solutions. Strong Fixed Income expertise is critical to understanding investment workflows, anticipating future needs, and accelerating delivery of strategic capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Engineering
  • Drive the roadmap and evolution of proprietary portfolio management applications.
  • Partner with Product Owners and Workflow Leads to translate business capabilities into scalable, reusable technology solutions.
  • Define architecture, integration patterns, engineering standards, and technical direction.
  • Drive modernization, technical debt reduction, cloud adoption, and automation.

Delivery Leadership
  • Lead onshore and offshore engineering teams.
  • Oversee development, testing, release management, and production support.
  • Ensure technology delivery aligns with business priorities and platform objectives.

Business Partnership
  • Develop deep expertise in Fixed Income investment processes, portfolio construction, and portfolio management workflows.
  • Act as a technology advisor to investment teams, rapidly assessing new opportunities and defining technology solutions.
  • Foster strong partnerships across business and technology organizations globally.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep understanding of portfolio management workflows and front-office investment platforms.
  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering and technology leadership experience within Asset Management, Financial Services, Capital Markets, or related industries.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale engineering organizations and complex platform transformation programs.
  • Strong hands-on software engineering background with prior development experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Scala, or similar enterprise technologies.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating enterprise-scale software platforms and distributed systems.
  • Experience leading globally distributed teams across software engineering, architecture, quality engineering, platform engineering, and production support functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute technology strategy while partnering effectively with senior business leaders.
  • Experience with application modernization, cloud technologies, APIs, and distributed architectures.
  • Ability to anticipate business needs and proactively shape technology strategy.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $217,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
