Sr. Software Engineer- Trading Enablement

We are looking for a talented Senior Engineer – Trading Enablement who will join a high-impact senior engineering team focused on resolving critical technical challenges and delivering strategic initiatives that directly support global investment operations. This role requires an experienced engineer who thrives in ambiguous environments, takes ownership of escalated issues, and contributes to enterprise-wide trading and investment platform modernization efforts.

The position plays a key role in firm-wide initiatives such as Global Multi-Batch transformation, enhancing overnight processing capabilities and enabling accurate start-of-day and intraday visibility into holdings, positions, cash, FX, and analytics across global regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve high-priority technical issues impacting global trading and investment operations.

• Research unfamiliar system behaviors and architect resilient, scalable solutions.

• Contribute to Global Multi-Batch initiative to refactor and modernize overnight processing workflows.

• Engineer and enhance front-end, back-end, API, and database components supporting trading systems.

• Collaborate closely with traders, portfolio managers, and tech-savvy business stakeholders to align technical solutions with front-line investment needs.

• Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance across trading platforms.

• Mentor team members and promote best engineering practices.

• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving efforts across global technology teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science (required).

• 10+ years of experience as a systems engineer or software developer.

• Strong foundation in computer science principles and software architecture.

• Proficiency in modern development technologies such as .NET, C#, Java.

• Experience designing and integrating APIs.

• Strong experience working with relational and/or enterprise-grade databases.

• Ability to work across multiple technology stacks with flexibility.

• Proven experience solving complex production issues in trading or investment systems.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience in investment management or trading platforms preferred.

• Experience with CRD (Charles River Development) highly valued.

• CFA Level I or progress toward CFA is a plus.
