Summary

About the Organization

Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We're looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking an Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Cyber and Information Assurance. This is an elite role for a recognized leader in the IT community who can navigate the complexities of national security systems. You will define the architecture and security posture for systems that span networking, telecommunications, and advanced automation. As an expert in both legacy and emerging technologies, you will provide the strategic direction necessary to ensure government information systems are resilient, modern, and mission-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs to determine complex cyber and information assurance functional requirements.
  • Define problems and develop strategic plans and requirements for systems related to information systems architecture and networking.
  • Develop and execute plans for moderately complex to complex systems involving telecommunications and automation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in communications protocols and risk management/electronic analysis.
  • Oversee software lifecycle management and the application of advanced software development methodologies.
  • Lead efforts in modeling and simulation to predict system performance and security outcomes.
  • Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships across the enterprise.
  • Identify and justify the specific resources required for each task to ensure successful execution.
  • Serve as a primary technical advisor to government leadership, maintaining a level of expertise recognized by the professional community.
  • Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills while presenting complex technical plans to senior stakeholders.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in Information Technology, with a heavy focus on cyber security and information assurance.
  • Possess requisite knowledge and expertise so recognized in the professional community that the Government is able to qualify you as an expert.
  • Demonstrated experience with both modern technologies and related legacy systems.
  • Proven track record of managing complex systems architecture and communications protocols.

Desired Experience

We encourage all candidates who meet the basic requirements to apply, even if you do not have any of the following experience:
  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, or equivalent expert-level credentials.
  • Experience with Redhorse-favored tools like GitLab, Jira, or Databricks.
  • Familiarity with cloud security architecture in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Background in supporting high-level DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) task orders.
  • Experience in the development of automated risk management frameworks.

The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in Redhorse's comprehensive benefits programs and may be eligible for performance-based or other incentive compensation, where applicable.
