Job Description
We are seeking an Innovation Policy Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AI technologies, wearables, virtual reality, and policy programs and campaigns and a proven ability to design and execute stakeholder experiences, build policy partnerships, and lead strategic outreach that advances innovation policy goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead demos that provide policy audiences hands-on experiences with AI solutions, wearables, and VR.
- Design, develop, and execute innovation policy experiences and events that educate policy stakeholders.
- Develop strategic outreach programs and policy campaigns to advocate for the economic and social value of AI innovation.
- Engage policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion formers, and non-profits to advance public discussion on innovative technologies.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, Partnerships, and global policy teams to build and drive programs and campaigns.
- Build coalitions with external organizations to advance company policy goals.
- Develop and project manage innovative policy programs and campaigns, including for new AI products.
- Independently manage smaller advocacy campaigns or co-manage larger campaigns, serving as primary client lead when assigned.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to champion AI innovation.
- Travel domestically on a frequent basis to support events and stakeholder engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, law, political science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in policy or legal roles focused on AI or related technologies.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing policy programs, campaigns, and stakeholder events.
- Ability to collaborate across product, legal, marketing, communications, and partnerships functions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AI technologies, wearables, VR, open-source innovation, security, privacy, integrity, competition, and related policy environments.
- Policy stakeholder engagement experience with policymakers, associations, industry partners, and non-profits.
- Background in planning and delivering policy programs and campaigns.
